On February 10, we participated in the launch of LatamGPT in Chile, the first large open language model developed for Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative is coordinated by the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA) and brings together 30 organizations from across the region in a collaborative effort to develop this model.
Fundación Vía Libre and FAMAF – UNC are part of this process, contributing to the strengthening of technical capacities and to regional coordination around artificial intelligence.
“For me, the greatest contribution Latam-GPT will make in the coming years is the connection among Latin American researchers and the development of the technical resources and knowledge necessary to build a model of this scale,” said Luciana Benotti.
