On Friday, October 9, as part of the 39th Plurinational Gathering of Women, Lesbians, Travestis, Trans, Bisexual, Intersex, and Non-Binary People, the event “TechnoTransFeminist Labyrinth” will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics, and Computing (FAMAF), National University of Córdoba (UNC), starting at 12:00 PM.

Transfeminist and technofeminist organizations from across the country, including Fundación Vía Libre, will gather on a “Day 0” prior to the Plurinational Gathering to open a discussion that has long been taking shape from the margins: technology as a field of political struggle.

The day will combine training, research, creation, and community building. Participants will have access to tools for open-source investigation, documenting police violence, migrating to open-source software, preventing doxxing, securing communications, and building their own technological infrastructure. There will also be spaces to discuss artificial intelligence bias, surveillance, the connection between technology and extractivism, and the possibilities of building servers and infrastructures from a transfeminist perspective.

The proposal is open to both individuals with technical experience and those encountering these discussions for the first time. No prior technical expertise is required to participate.
