On Friday, September 12, Emilia Echeveste, member of Fundación Vía Libre, will lead the training session “Spoiler: No, ChatGPT Is Not a Psychologist. New Boundaries for Our Profession”, designed for psychologists from the Primary Health Care Directorate (DAPS) of the Municipality of Córdoba.
The activity will open a space for reflection on the key challenges that artificial intelligence poses in relation to young people, with a particular focus on how large language models (LLMs) work and their implications for both knowledge-building and interpersonal relationships.
Participants will also explore the concept of “algorithmic flattery”—the way AI-based tools tend to reinforce certain responses or patterns—and discuss how these processes affect professional practice and our relationship with technology.
This training seeks to foster an informed, critical debate about the limits, risks, and potential of AI in sensitive areas such as mental health, while strengthening a professional practice that is both responsible and committed to people’s rights.
