The Argentine Conference on the Didactics of Computer Science (JADiCC) celebrates a new edition in 2025. This year, it will be hosted by the National University of San Luis (UNSL) and organized by faculty members from the Department of Computer Science at the School of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences.

The event brings together teachers, researchers, and education policymakers interested in innovative approaches to teaching computer science. Its program includes lectures, panels, workshops, and presentations of academic papers, teaching experiences, and educational tools. This year’s edition will be held in a hybrid format: workshops will take place on October 27, 28, and 29, and the main conference sessions will be held on October 30 and 31.

On October 29 at 3:00 p.m., María Emilia Echeveste, from Fundación Vía Libre, and Lourdes Aguiar Cau will coordinate the online workshop “Algorithmic Flattery: Challenges for Educational Practice in Times of AI.”

The session invites participants to explore how teachers and students interact with language models, identify the phenomenon of algorithmic flattery, and reflect on its socio-educational implications. Drawing on personal experiences, it aims to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on pedagogical relationships, students’ trust, and their relationship with knowledge. The workshop encourages a critical perspective on the use of AI in emotionally and educationally supportive contexts.

This year’s conference is organized by the Department of Computer Science, the School of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, and the National University of San Luis.
