From September 21 to 25, CARLA, the Latin American High Performance Computing Conference, will take place. The event will be held at the UNC Cultural Center – Paseo Córdoba de la Nueva Andalucía (Obispo Trejo 314, Córdoba Capital) and is organized by the National University of Córdoba, through the High Performance Computing Center (CCAD-UNC), with support from Fundación Vía Libre.
Organized since 2014, CARLA brings together researchers, universities, companies, public organizations, and specialists from different countries every year around four main tracks: HPC itself, supercomputing-scale artificial intelligence, practical applications of these technologies, and, as a new feature of this edition, HPC education, focused on training the next generation of specialists.
The event will also include two highlighted activities: a student supercomputing competition, in which teams of students from diverse backgrounds will build and test a computing cluster from scratch, and the third edition of the DevOps School for HPC, an intensive training program focused on artificial intelligence workloads.
