About Festival Democracia VIVA

The Festival Democracia VIVA is an initiative established in 2016 as a regional reference space bringing together civil society organizations, public institutions, social movements, cultural figures, academia, and citizens committed to democracy.

In a context marked by the rise of authoritarianism, disinformation, and the battle over the control of new technologies, the Festival aims to build concrete tools to address this crisis alongside organizations, local governments, academia, and citizens. The program features over 50 activities, including discussions, workshops, artistic performances, social labs, meetups with leaders, and cultural talks.
