As part of Fundación Vía Libre’s 25th-anniversary celebrations, we invite you to participate in the practical workshop: “Artificial Intelligence Under the Microscope: Exploring Biases in Language Models.” This is a hands-on session designed to help you understand how AI works through a participatory and accessible approach.

About the Workshop

During the encounter, we will present EDIA, a project aimed at involving more people in the social and intersectional evaluation of AI technologies, such as Large Language Models (e.g., ChatGPT).

The workshop is designed for:

  • Researchers and journalists covering topics related to AI.
  • Teachers looking to foster a critical perspective on AI with their students.
  • Social science communities.
  • Students and the general public interested in the field.

Requirements: No prior knowledge is necessary—only curiosity and a desire to experiment. (It is ideal if you can bring your own laptop).

Schedule

  • 5:00 PM – 5:40 PM: Introduction to current AI challenges, led by Beatriz Busaniche.

  • 5:40 PM – 7:00 PM: Practical workshop exploring biases with EDIA, led by Guido Ivetta, Pietro Palombini, and Sofía Martinelli.
